Traits and Distinguishing Features:

In the Sink to Black and Linden story lines, she has specific traits lent only to that species. Generally if one is a Sorcerer, their hair will either be blue or black, their eyes will always be a shade of blue, and they will either be extremely tall or extremely short. Nyssa got the extremely tall end of the deal, much to her dismay.

The color of her magic is always blue. For Linden/Sink to Black, each Sorcerer has their own specific color of magic. Hers is blue. For the Kingdom storyline, all Water Nymphs use blue-colored magic.

In all of the story lines, immortality comes with a price. She can still die from sickness and injury, and if injured, it takes three times longer to heal than a normal person's injury.

In the Linden and Sink to Black storylines, medicine is a poison to her blood and will either make her very sick or kill her outright. In the Kingdom storyline, this fact is null and void.

In Linden and Sink to Black, her powers deal mostly with healing.

Significant Relationships:

Matt Spiel – In the Linden/Sink to Black stories, she is the same species as him. In Linden she was once his significant other but fell out of an intimate relationship with him after he realized that he did not return his love. They are still very close despite that. In Sink to Black she is simply a good friend and a guide. In Kingdom she was a guide as well. In each storyline she has significant importance aside of Matt.

Gideon Vaughn – A Shapeshifter with whom she shares similar feelings of loss. In Linden Gideon's former lover committed suicide and, after the end of her relationship with Matt, sought comfort from him. The two are very close but have no romantic relationship.

This is all I'm going to add for refs, at least for the Storyline characters. This is simply because their histories will take too long to write out (they are old characters, hence why they have so many different stories to go along with them, and they each have extensive backgrounds). However, you'll probably get little bits of their history in the artist comments whenever I draw them because I do like to refer the art I do of them to something that has happened to them at some point.

Nyssa was first created when I was twelve years old, around ten years ago. Ever since then she's been focused as the main character, pushed back to second, and has even had a few name changes over the years. She was originally called Rose, but as my writing skills progressed and I got older, I began to see that the name didn't fit any longer, and since changed it.

Nyssa was also the very first OC I ever made. To get an idea, this is before I even knew was “OC” meant. XD

Linden is the oldest storyline, going as far back to her creation. As such as it is the most developed, considering I wrote a series of approximately 13 books over the course of seven years. Sink to Black is the earliest but is currently the one being worked on. Nyssa doesn't have as large of a role in it as Matt is the main focus, but she still has an important role in the storyline.
